Private Lakes
Deschutes Angler has been granted exclusive rights to eight lakes on a Private ranch near Grass Valley, Oregon. Most of the Private lakes can be reached by car within a 25 minute drive from Deschutes Angler Fly Shop. The Private lakes range in size from a couple of acres to 25 acres, all very manageable in a float tube or pontoon boat. The insect hatches are thick on these Private lakes, and the rainbow trout that live here are eager to grab dry flies. In March and April the Private lakes are easily fished from shore by wading the edges. By May and June the weeds in the shallows make it too difficult to shore fish, but a pontoon boat or float tube will put you in good water all day long. A few of our Private lakes are open year-round.
BOOKINGS AND IMPORTANT POINTS:
- Booking a Private lake online is as easy as adding the Private Lake to your shopping cart, then checking out. A Deschutes Angler employee will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your reservation and your Private Lake.
- Alternatively, you can call or email Deschutes Angler and arrange via both of those outlets. Please note the days and hours were open.
- IMPORTANT TO NOTE: If ordering through the online shopping cart, Deschutes Angler does not charge the credit card (of potential guests) until the Private lake, date and time etc., has been agreed upon by a Deschutes Angler employee and the guest. Once agreed upon by both parties, Deschutes Angler will then charge the card and the reservation will be set.
