Burkus Sedgeback October Caddis

You might mistake this pattern for a salmonfly - until you see those antenae. This October caddis pattern is a good one to have handy anytime in the fall on the Deschutes. We see October caddis from late September into early December.  They are nocturnal emergers, so fishign with dries is best evening to dusk. If you are in a place that allows for night fishing (not Oregon), this would be a good choice for night fishing wherever this hatch occurs.
