Griffin Hackle Pliers

Griffin hackle pliers are an affordable option for this necessary fly tying tool. The tight grip of these little pliers, in combo with the small rubber pad on one side, allows them to grip onto spiderweb-fine materials and slippery feathers. Hackle pliers are used to help hang onto very fine materials while wrapping them onto a hook. Used mainly when winding small feathers through a body or around a parachute, these are also quite handy for gripping other small materials - especially if you have sausage fingers!
