The perfect ribbing material for large stone fly nymphs and a body material for any number of chironomid patterns. This material, when wrapped over a silver hook or a hook with a silver mylar under wrap, really pops. By creating such a body, you have a very durable and long-lasting fly. The Moana's Chilli Pepper is a great example of using this material to make a particularly hardy bonefish pattern.
