These little birds are from India and are closely related to their native wild fowl. Originally, they were the only good source of stiff dry fly hackle.
Now, American-raised neck hackles are the preferred hackles for many tyers, but they are prohibitively expensive for a lot of us. If you cannot stomach paying $30-100 for fancy American saddles or necks, these necks will give you a ton of great feathers for your fly patterns at a price that won't shatter your wallet.
These necks are graded as PRIME, which gives you a very dry neck with good feather count. The feather size ranges from size 10-20, with lots of size 14-16 excellent hackle feathers. Available in all the great natural colors. Get 'em before the import rules keep us from gettin' them for such great prices!
