Here's a fantastic fly for the salmonfly hatch. This "ant" isn't an ant at all - it is a perfect stonefly pattern. Golden stones are more important to have than salmonflies because the salmonflies stay in the air while dropping eggs from the sky - the golden stones land on the water to lay eggs and this is when the big trout grab them!
