We LOVE this mini-intruder for so many different applications. Summer-run fish tend to prefer smaller swung flies (particularly Oregon summer-run steelhead) so this is a go-to from July through November. The fly has just a small set of brass eyes to help it break through the surface film of the river. The body is made of rabbit and rubber legs, and the rabbit helps the fly sink quickly once it is saturated with water.Â
The variety of colors for this fly is simply fantastic!
