Flesh flies are an essential pattern to have in river systems where salmon return to spawn. After they die their bodies decay and the flesh breaks apart and tumbles down the river, being feasted on by hungry trout and grayling. The flesh can range in color depending on the level of decay, and this three-colored rabbit pattern is an excellent imitation of these tumbling bits of rotten flesh.
