My firefighting sources in town tell me that the fire is OUT. Since a lot of adjacent land had already burned this summer, it probably burned into the burn and ran out of fuel. That, and a light wind day, lots of aircraft power yesterday, and boots on the ground got the situation under control.

I just got word that the BLM still has the lower access road CLOSED until tomorrow morning. They are being very cautious about this, and it has certainly screwed up a lot of people's plans. I just had Gabor drive down to the road below Sherar's to get this information.
